Meet Dr. Doreen Frimpong-Brago
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Texas. I was born and raised in my beloved homeland Ghana, West Africa. Upon moving to the United States, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology and certificate in Developmental Disabilities and Human Services from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. From there, I attended Midwestern University in Arizona where I obtained both my Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology Degrees in Clinical Psychology. My education and clinical work have extensively been in medical and community mental health settings and hence I have in-depth understanding of the mind-body relationship and the importance of holistic care. On a personal note, my intersecting identities of being an immigrant and a woman of color also lends itself deeply in the work I do and to the passion I have for supporting BIPOC individuals and underserved populations.
In my unwinding time outside of work, I indulge in scenic drives, time in nature/by water with a loved one, grooving to some really good music, and serving in my church choir. I also love to travel for relaxation and exploration.
